The Light House names new Deputy Director

Elizabeth Kinney, Executive Director of The Light House is pleased to announce the appointment of Teresa Fields as the new Deputy Director as of July 1, 2015.

Teresa comes to The Light House from Fairfax, Virginia where she served as Community Management Initiatives Analyst for Fairfax County Virginia Department of Neighborhood and Community Services. Prior to that, she served for 16 years as Executive Director of Worcester County Maryland Youth and Family Services. “Her depth and breadth of experience with both underserved populations and managing day to day operations along with her compassion and understanding for those in need made her an outstanding choice for this position, “said Kinney.

Also announced is the promotion of a number of individuals who have been promoted within the Light House organization this past year. These include: Karen Lewald-Williams to Director of Programs; Michele Marshall, Associate Director of Development for Volunteers; Alison Thompson, Assistant Director for Development, James Maybin to Client Services Manager; Meghan Bahr to Assistant Director of Programs for Outreach and Alumni and Cliff Ward to Finance Coordinator. “There is a tremendous pool of dedicated, compassionate, talented individuals within The Light House organization. I am pleased to recognize that talent by promoting within our own agency,” Kinney said.
