Schuh cuts ribbon on State’s first Steak ‘n Shake

Schuh steak n shakeHighlighting the importance of job creation and economic growth in Anne Arundel County,  County Executive Steve Schuh  cut the ribbon on the long-awaited “Steak ‘n Shake” restaurant in Millersville late last month.

“When out-of-state businesses choose Anne Arundel County as the place to launch in Maryland, it is another sign of the progress we have made here just in the last six months,” said Schuh. “Our recently enacted budget cuts taxes, improves our quality of life, and makes our county even more attractive to growing businesses like ‘Steak ‘n Shake.’”

The Millersville location on Veterans Highway is the first “Steak ‘n Shake” in Maryland, and is expected to employ approximately 150 people. The restaurant is owned and operated by Khalil Ahmad, a Hanover resident. The “Steak ‘n Shake” chain, founded in Illinois, has more than 500 restaurants in 29 states across the country.
