New president for Rotary of South Anne Arundel County

JoeVanDeuren-KatieBlyth_Presidents15-16 (1)On June 25th 2015 the leadership of the local Rotary Club of South Anne Arundel County changed hands from Joe Van Duren to LeCates “Katie” Blyth during the 10 year anniversary dinner, which was held at the Doubletree Hotel in Annapolis. The club celebrated its ten year history of contributions to the community, both internationally and locally, which include its successful fundraising project “Quacks for Backpacks”; a program that provides weekend backpacks of food for low-income children in South Anne Arundel County. The club recently received the “Community Foundation of the Year” Award from the Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Community Foundation. In addition, Mr. Larry Leahy was presented with a special award from the Rotary District Governor, Bill Fine, in recognition of his eight years of service as Area Governor of five local Rotary clubs. The event concluded  with the induction of its new board. The new Rotary Club of South Anne Arundel County President, LeCates Blyth, lives in Annapolis with her husband Gary Brown, and is the owner of LSB Designs, a multi-directional graphics design company, also located in Annapolis.
