Free concerts at Whitmore Park

WhitmoreConcertsThe Dixie Hotel was once part of the business district of the Annapolis Clay Street Community where famous personalities entertained standing-room-only crowds at nightclubs and hotels. Billie Holiday and Cab Calloway are two of the famous performers that played the Turk Lounge at the Dixie Hotel. Every other Thursday evening is The Dixie Hotel Thursday Jazz Nite, Featuring free concerts of Jazz, R&B and Blues and every other Sunday evening is Gospel in The Park featuring local gospel choirs.

The concerts series are located at Whitmore Park in the Annapolis Arts and Entertainment District on the corner of Calvert and Clay Streets in downtown Annapolis. The concerts will continue all summer and run through early October. They start at 7pm and are free to attend.
