Annapolis Rotary awards scholarships to Broadneck students

rotary_logoThe following recent graduates of Broadneck High School in Annapolis have each received a $1,000 scholarship from the Rotary Club of Annapolis. The colleges they plan to attend and their interests are included.

  • Graeme B. Joyce, Brigham Young University, computer science.
  • Andrew “Drew” McMenamin, The University of Maryland, computer science.
  • John “Jack” O’Keefe, The University of Maryland’s Advanced Cyber Security Experience for Students Honors College, chemical engineering.
  • Claire W. Whitaker, Wellesley College, math, botany, and art.

Scholarship applicants meet certain criteria including a commitment to community service as well as intention to attend an accredited college or university. The Rotary Club of Annapolis presents a total of $4,000 annually to Annapolis-area high school graduates.
