Schuh to chair Bello Macre’s signature event

bellomachreBello Machre proudly announces that Steve Schuh will be the Honorary Chair at its Signature Event – Every Step Counts 2015.  With the addition of the new 5K Run to its ever popular Every Step Counts walk / bike fundraiser, it is appropriate that County Executive Schuh attend and present the 5K awards and prizes.

The Every Step Counts event will be held Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Anne Arundel Community College in Arnold, Maryland.  The event will benefit people with developmental disabilities whom Bello Machre serves.  Dr. Robert T. Ireland, President and CEO, stated, “The Bello Machre Every Step Counts family fun event is honored to have County Executive Schuh as its Honorary Chair.  He has been a champion for people with developmental disabilities in our community and very supportive of the work at Bello Machre.”

The event will assemble more than 400 people on the Anne Arundel Community College Campus with a goal to raise over $150,000.  We are looking for runners, walkers, and bikers to participate in this great event. This fun event is for the whole family with a moon bounce, face painting, music, raffles, prizes, and complimentary food and beverages.  The event also promotes education and awareness about people with developmental disabilities who live and work within the community.

We encourage each walker, biker, and runner to get people to sponsor their Every Step.  Participants raise money by having friends, family, and business associates sponsor them to walk, bike, or run.  The schedule is as follows: 8:30am – registration / breakfast, 9:15am – welcome and warm up, 9:30am – starts the 5K, 9:45am – starts the walk / bike, and 11:00am – awards and prizes.   For more information – visit the Bello Machre website www.bellomachre.org events page or call or email Andrew Schuerholz at 443-702-3024 / [email protected].
