The Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation (AAEDC) has announced that the second annual Summer Farm Series will feature a local farm and winery. “The Summer Farm Series is an effort to promote and increase awareness of agriculture in South County,” says Lisa Barge, AAEDC’s agricultural marketing and development manager. “We encourage people to visit these county farms so they can not only enjoy the events but also learn more about agriculture and the importance of agriculture in our lives.”

Enjoy a good ole southern Maryland pig roast while overlooking beautiful fields and old tobacco barns. The kids can visit the chickens, sheep, and goats and have fun with hay rides, corn pools, and honey bee hive exhibits. They will also get planting seeds to take home for their own gardens. Food and beverage will be available for purchase as well as locally sourced farm to fork prepared by the chefs at Herrington on the Bay.
Country music recording artist Ryan Webster will be performing.
Ticket price $5, Children under 5 are free. This is a pet-friendly event.
