Free vaccinations for upcoming 7th graders

healthreportThe Anne Arundel County Department of Health will provide vaccination clinics on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at two locations to help all students entering the seventh grade meet the Maryland State requirements for the 2015-2016 school year. All students are required to have had one Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis/whooping cough) vaccination and one MCV4 (meningococcal) vaccination upon entering the seventh grade. 

The free walk-in clinics, which will be held from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., will be at the following locations:

• Glen Burnie Health Center, 416 A Street, S.W., Glen Burnie, MD 21061

• Parole Health Center, 1950 Drew Street, Annapolis, MD 21401

Parents should bring their child’s immunization records to the clinics.

The new vaccination requirements are in addition to the current school vaccine requirements. To be allowed in school, students must be immunized.
