School of Rock to rock Metropolitan Kitchen & Lounge in May

school_of_rock_logo_0On May 16th & 17th the students of School of Rock Annapolis and Gambrills will perform sets of songs on stage live at the Metropolitan at 169 West Street in Annapolis. Beginner students in the Rock 101 classes will perform at 11:30am and noon. The main act will open at 12:30pm with “Sleeveless in Seattle” featuring songs of the 90’s from bands such as Nirvana and Pearl Jam. At 2pm the students from the Gambrills location will perform a set of British inspired music primarily containing songs from the Beatles, The Ramones and the Rolling Stones. The closing act begins at 3:30pm featuring songs of Motown!

All performances are kid friendly and a wonderful way for children of all ages to enjoy music of their peers. Seeing students their age on stage performing as a rock band is inspiring and motivational.

School of Rock is a performance based music program for children of all ages that takes students from the lesson room to the stage developing their confidence and musicianship. They offer classes such as Little Wing for preschool aged children, Rookies for the beginner and Rock 101 and Performance Program for the intermediate to advanced musician.

Tickets for adults are $5 at the door and free for children.
