Samaritan House to break ground on expansion this weekend

Sam House Campus of Recovery 2 cmpAfter months of planning and process, Samaritan House will break ground for the first phase of their Campus of Recovery in a ceremony set for Sunday, April 19.

Samaritan House is a state-certified residential treatment facility in Annapolis for men who have completed detoxification but are still recovering from addiction. The Campus of Recovery at Samaritan House will double the number of clients served and provide a continuum of care for clients and their families.

On Sunday, April 19, Samaritan House board and community members will break ground for the Campus of Recovery pavilion, an outdoor meeting space that will accommodate more opportunities for alumni and others to stay connected and support each other. A schedule of events for that afternoon:

  • Beginning at 1 pm: Open house tours of current facilities and a walk-through of expansion site.
  • At 2 pm: Remarks from Samaritan House board president, Kirk Noonan, local elected officials and a few words from a current and former client on how their experience with Samaritan House has impacted their lives, followed by groundbreaking.
  • Continuing until 3 pm: Casual reception and continued tours of current facility and expansion site

Samaritan House, founded in 1971, is located on eight wooded acres just off Forest Drive at 2610 Greenbriar Lane, Annapolis. For more information see www.samaritanhouseannapolis.com or email [email protected]
