Eye On Annapolis heading to the Electric Forest in June

| April 22, 2015, 10:14 AM | 0 Comments

This summer, music festivals will take over the nation from coast to coast. From Coachella to Firefly. It happens every year, but what is changing is the composition. What used to be “rock fests” or “alternative fests” have somehow melded into a multi-genre, pulse pounding, multi-day extravaganzas highlighting the best music genre from new alternative, to classic rock, to electronic dance music or EDM. Unfortunately, one of the biggest and best festivals this year is not in our backyard….it’s in Rothbury, Michigan; and because of the legions of music lovers in our area, we will be headed to Electric Forest for four days of fun and music at the end of June to hang with a gang of people from the Baltimore area who are making the road trip. Tune in as we catch some fantastic music and the festival life.

Electric Forest Festival Line Up

This year’s headliners includes Bassnectar, Big Gigantic, Kaskade, Skrillex, and of course the Electric Forest’s very own, The String Cheese Incident. The music doesn’t stop there, and Electric Forest has a diverse lineup to include many genres of music. Artists such as Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeroes, and the ever so popular Lindsey Stirling. This lineup is guaranteed to let you enjoy a diverse and wonderful lineup that will have you coming back year after year to the forest. The full lineup can be found here.

Festival Life

While music brings everyone together and is the common bond, the real beauty of a festival like Electric Forest is the people and the experience. You can camp, you can glamp, you can day trip or take it up a notch and camp in style with a log cabin or suite. But once you enter the grounds, what once was a Jack and Jill ranch, will become a magical place of sight, sound, and smells. Don’t believe it? Check out some scenes from last year.
