Annapolis Beer Week growing again

AnnapolisBeerWeekWhere else can you sample over 100 different beers many of which are limited availability all the while supporting a myriad of local charities and your community?

Annapolis Beer Week, April 18 – 25, is filled with a variety of events featuring high quality unique beer at numerous Annapolis area venues. The week kicks off on April 18th with the third annual Beer Run 5K and 1M Fun Run (benefitting MS Busters and Box of Rain) and has added the new inaugural Bicycle 2 Beer (benefits Bike Like a Girl) at the Anne Arundel Fairgrounds. There are 12 beer stops along the course, featuring two races one for serious runners and one for less serious. and prizes for best costumes.

The week culminates, April 25th at the Maryland National Guard Armory with the second annual Maryland Chicken Wing & Beer Festival, where over 25 varieties of wings and beer will be available. (benefits YMCA Camp Letts) during the day, followed with an evening of Humor, Heroes, and Hops at the fourth annual Drafts & Laughs, featuring military veterans, wounded warriors and local comics (benefitting Warfighter Sports – a division of Disabled Sports USA and The Foundation for Community Betterment).

There are over 20 other events throughout the week including: the third annual Beer & Bands, April 19th, featuring Dunns & Drummers and Grilled Lincolns (benefits Foundation for Community Betterment) at Stan & Joe’s, Beer & Bacon with the Annapolis Social Meetup Group at Fado’s, April 23rd, and Pints for Paws: Annapolis Homebrew & Craft Beer Festival at the Meadow at Park Place, April 24th, (benefits SPCA of Anne Arundel) along with many more events.

Events are open to Adults 21 and over with ID except for the family friendly Maryland Chicken Wing Festival and the Bicycle 2 Beer events. For information and tickets visit www.annapolisbeerwk.com.
