“Maryland My Maryland” will be hosted in two Annapolis locations: the Lowe House of Delegates Office Building at 6 Bladen Street (8:30-5:30 M-F) and at McBride Gallery through March 10th. The exhibition will celebrate Maryland scenes from city life, to dairy and tobacco farms, mountains in the west to Chesapeake Bay scenes including wildlife and marsh scenes.

It is good to celebrate what we value. We seem to appreciate the skipjacks, the old tobacco barns, and rolling fields of grain more once we realize they are disappearing or changing. Artists help us capture those memories.

McBride Gallery is pleased to be invited to curate this historic show featuring the paintings of Maryland by artists from Maryland and nearby states.Over forty artists are exhibiting oil paintings, watercolor, pastel and original etchings portraying the beauty of our home state of Maryland.

New paintings continue to arrive each week. This week Rita Curtis, Kevin McNamara, Scott Lloyd Anderson, Gary Pendleton and Lee Boynton brought in new work, including some ‘fresh’ snow paintings.
