Baltimore trainer releases children’s book about fitness and health

bigvanillaIt’s never too early to start teaching children how to incorporate healthy choices into their daily lives, it is a practice they can take with them forever. The Adventures of Frankie Fitness: Like Mother Like Son, the first children’s book released by Baltimore-based personal trainer, Jason Williams, is one tool parents can use to motivate their children to be healthy and fit.

The Adventures of Frankie Fitness: Like Mother, Like Son, is a children’s story book, illustrated by Ryan Battle, that explores the important role parents play in influencing their children’s lives, especially when it comes to making healthy choices, while also teaching children about exercises they can do at home. The book highlights the motivation parents provide their kids, but also the ways kids can motivate their own parents to practice healthy living.

“Children’s health is one of the most important areas in our society,” said Williams. “The inspiration for this book came from not only teaching children about the importance of fitness, but motivating parents as well.”

In addition to telling the story about Frankie and how he follows his mom’s fitness practices, the book offers an illustrated “how to” guide to introduce children to a variety of exercises they can perform at home, including planks, squats, jumping jacks, crunches and push-ups.

Williams will participate in a book signing and Free Children’s Fitness Classes at Big Vanilla Athletic Club on Saturday March, 28th.
