Davidsonville Green Expo (March 14th) seeking exhibitors

greenexpoPreparations are underway for the Sixth Annual Davidsonville Green Expo scheduled for Saturday, March 14 at Davidsonville Elementary School.  Sponsored by the Davidsonville Area Civic Association (DACA), this annual event brings together businesses and non-profits to help increase awareness about environmental issues.

Currently, DACA is seeking exhibitors who offer sustainable choices or information about reducing environmental impact in the following areas:

  • Household products and practices
  • Yard and garden practices friendly to the Chesapeake Bay and its watershed
  • Energy, conservation, recycling
  • Food and agriculture emphasizing local foods and Community Supported Agriculture
  • Land Conservation
  • Transportation
  • Green lifestyles and recreation
  • Education and advocacy

Exhibitor registration for businesses is $75 for a 10-foot by 10-foot space with a six-foot table and two chairs. Exhibitor fee is waived for non profits and state or local government. Exhibitor registration forms may be FOUND HERE or available under the Green Expo Tab at www.daca-md.org and will be accepted until March 1.

This year’s event will be held in the school’s gymnasium and outdoors from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  There will be children’s activities throughout the day, tree give-aways, green product vendors and food and drink for sale. The Sustainafest’s Tiny House will be on display.   Paper shredding and electronic recycling services also available on event day.   Davidsonville Elementary is located at 962 West Central Avenue.
