The Maryland Federation of Art’s juried exhibition features 46 pieces of artwork created by 38 artists. It depicts the sights, sounds, colors, impact and anticipation of weather. The jurors are Fox 45 News reporter and meteorologist Emily Gracey and Barry Shauck, assistant professor and head of art teacher education at Boston University’s College of Fine Art.

More than 20 artists will exhibit bronze sculpture, oil paintings, watercolor, pastel and original etchings portraying the beauty of the state. The exhibition will celebrate Maryland scenes from city life, the countryside and the Chesapeake Bay. It will feature Bay wildlife as well as recreational activities on and around the water.

It details the life of career Army Corps of Engineers Colonel Leslie Groves and the request made of him in September 1942 – to build the atomic bomb. Celebrated American pianist Simone Dinnerstein joins the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra to perform Maurice Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G major. Music Director Jose-Luis Novo will also conduct the orchestra in The Garden of Fand by Sir Arnold Bax and Richard Strauss’ Ein Heldenleben (A Hero’s Life).
