City announces plans for Spring GreenScape

Annapolis Parks and RecJoin Mayor Michael Pantelides and the Annapolis community as we celebrate 24 years of making Annapolis a beautiful place during Spring GreenScape on Saturday, April 25.

GreenScape is a volunteer effort that encourages and supports individuals and organizations to plant and maintain native gardens in public areas throughout the City of Annapolis. Volunteers clean up and plant flower and vegetable gardens in public spaces throughout the City. The City provides plant materials, mulch, trash bags and gloves; the community provides volunteers who want to make a difference in Annapolis.

Organizational meetings will be held on Wednesday, February 4 and Wednesday, March 4. Both meetings will be held at 6 p.m. at the “Pip” Moyer Recreation Center located at 273 Hilltop Lane in Annapolis.

If you are unable to attend the first meeting, you can download the order form from www.annapolis.gov in early February. Click on “Forms and Permits” (top bar), scroll down the page to the “Recreation and Parks” section to find the GreenScape links. Complete the form and e-mail it to Marisa Wittlinger at [email protected]. For more information, please e-mail Marisa Wittlinger.
