Before settling in to watch the Patriots vs. Seahawks in the NFL championship game, you can score great food AND help the homeless by joining Heritage Baptist Church at the 9th Annual SOUPer Bowl Lunch for the Annapolis Light House Homeless Prevention Support Center on Sunday, February 1, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.
Members of Navy Athletic Program will ladle tasty soups prepared by award-winning local Chef Zachary Pope at the church’s fellowship hall (1740 Forest Drive, Annapolis). Menu soups are Chicken Noodle, Baked Potato Soup and Chili. Guests will also enjoy salad, bread, drinks and cake.
The public is invited and admission is free, but donations are requested to benefit the Light House Homeless Prevention Shelter. Since it began in 2007, the annual SOUPer Bowl has raised thousands of dollars for the shelter.
Heritage Baptist is an affiliate congregational partner of the Light House, offering support and resources throughout the year. For more information, contact the church office at 410-263-6680, or see the church web site at www.heritagebaptistannapolis.org
