Annapolis Mayor Michael Pantelides announced that the prices for some workforce housing units in Annapolis have been lowered.
Sailors Quay, at the corner of Bay Ridge Avenue and Washington Street, has one condominium unit available, which has two bedrooms and one bath, and is now priced at $194,900, with some closing help offered.
Boucher Place, on Boucher Avenue, near President Street, has four townhomes; all have two bedrooms, one bath and a one-car garage. The new price for these units is $199,000.
Buyers must purchase the units through the City of Annapolis Moderately Priced Dwelling Unity (MPDU) Program. To qualify for the MPDU program, an individual or household must have an income that is 100% or less than the median family income for the Baltimore region, not currently own a home, be an Annapolis city resident or employed within the city limits for at least the past 12 months, and be able to qualify for a mortgage.
Teachers or staff members employed in a school that is included in the Annapolis Senior High School feeder system and employees of the City of Annapolis qualify to participate regardless of where they currently live.
