Teen shot in face on St. Johns campus

shootingAn Annapolis teenager was shot in the face on Sunday morning near the boathouse on the St. John’s College campus.  The teen was discovered in a field adjacent to the boathouse that sits along College Creek.

According to police, the boathouse was rented out for a private event. Reports from Anne Arundel 1st Alert indicate that a large group had gathered near the scene requiring a large police response.  Shell casings were reportedly discovered near the boathouse, but police have not said if they were connected with the shooting.

The 17-year old was transported to the Shock Trauma center in Baltimore with serious but not life-threatening injuries. It is unknown if the teenager was connected to the private event or St. John’s College.

A teenage girl was shot in the face early Sunday morning on the campus of St. John’s College in Annapolis.

Police are still actively investigating the shooting and have made no arrests.
