An Annapolis teenager was shot in the face on Sunday morning near the boathouse on the St. John’s College campus. The teen was discovered in a field adjacent to the boathouse that sits along College Creek.
According to police, the boathouse was rented out for a private event. Reports from Anne Arundel 1st Alert indicate that a large group had gathered near the scene requiring a large police response. Shell casings were reportedly discovered near the boathouse, but police have not said if they were connected with the shooting.
The 17-year old was transported to the Shock Trauma center in Baltimore with serious but not life-threatening injuries. It is unknown if the teenager was connected to the private event or St. John’s College.

Police are still actively investigating the shooting and have made no arrests.
