Lights of Kindness to raise funds for local charities

image003The Rotary Club of South Anne Arundel County presents the “Lights of Kindness” , December 4 through 7th, 2014, in support of charities both locally and through the Rotary Foundation. The Rotary Foundation supports local programs such as the Bountiful Backpacks and the Dictionary Project, as well as international clean water initiatives, the Malawi Water Project, educational programs through T3 for Haiti, youth leadership programs through RYLA and Rotary International’s Polio Plus.

This unique and magical event will be hosted by Homestead Gardens in Davidsonville, MD.  Bring the creative minds of your family, friends, and co-workers to inspire more holiday spirit in our area while benefiting well-deserving local charities.

Rotary’s Lights of Kindness is a Christmas tree decorating contest that allows businesses to market themselves while raising thousands of dollars for local charities and non-profit organizations as well as the Rotary Club Foundation of South Anne Arundel County.

The goal of this event is to raise awareness for both charities and businesses that strive to make our community a better place.  Each tree will be placed inside Homestead Gardens during the first week of December.  Your tree and supported charity will have branding at the base of your tree, on posters and on the ‘Holiday Forest Map’.

Trees will be displayed at Homestead Gardens from Thursday December 4th – Sunday December 7th.  Visitors will be able to vote for their favorite tree during Homestead Gardens’ regular business hours.

It is estimated that 10,000+ people will be walking through our holiday forest during the Christmas rush! Will you be a part?
