Lecture at St. John’s on Classical Liberalism

StJohnsCollegeRoberto Salinas-León, Cato Institute scholar and president of the Mexico Business Forum, will give a lecture titled “On Classical Liberalism and the ‘Liberal’ Point of View” at St. John’s College. The lecture, which is free and open to the public, will be held in the Francis Scott Key Auditorium on Friday, November 21 at 8 p.m.

Salinas-León is an expert on trade, monetary policy, and economic liberalization in Latin America. He is a regular commentator on CNN, Latinamerica CNN, CNBC, Reuters, and National Public Radio. He has published more than 2,000 editorials (English and Spanish) on public policy topics, and is an occasional columnist in the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Times, Barron’s, and many others. He is coeditor of the book “Money and Markets in the Americas: New Challenges for Hemispheric Integration.”

He received his B.A. from Hillsdale College and his M.A. and Ph.D. from Purdue University.
