Judas Priest puts on killer show at Pier Six

Pier Six Pavillion extended their season by a few weeks to accommodate the Judas Priest tour which played to a sold out  Baltimore on a mild October night.

Steel Panther was the opener for this show and they killed it. Panther was the perfect opener because the mostly older crowd enjoyed Panther’s retro throwback to 80’s hair metal era during their hour-long set.

Once Steel Panther finished their set a large curtain was dropped so the Judas Priest stage could be set up. The band took the stage promptly at 9 PM.

The lead, Richie, owned the stage….he ran around, interacted with the crowd, tossed guitar picks, and after the show he actually came out to meet fans and sign autographs.

From start to finish Judas Priest kept the show moving, they rocked hard and proved that they still have “it.” The sell out proved that there are still metal fans to be had. But there are few bands like Judas Priest any longer!  But for now, we have that fantastic October night in Baltimore.
