First Sunday Arts – Holiday Edition!

| November 28, 2014, 01:49 PM | 0 Comments

Holiday Banner 20141111 FinalWest Street will be buzzing on Sunday, December 7th from 11am to 4pm, as 60 artisans of The Holiday Edition of First Sunday Arts Festival line both sides of the street with original and one-of-a-kind pieces of art representing the highest quality in workmanship, materials and design.

Contemporary works of wood, clay, glass, metal and fiber will be available for purchase: handbags and alpaca hats — stained and blown glass —metal, wood, and driftwood sculpture —unique outfits for children (as well as Fido) — original watercolors, oils, and photography —re-purposed furniture and rugs—decorative candles and soaps—chocolates and caramels — handcrafted jewelry — local authors — incredible nautical art and whimsical gifts galore.

And, with a choice of more than a half dozen fine restaurants, festival-goers can savor Italian specialties, Asian-fusion delicacies, south of the border selections, gourmet sandwiches, pastries and coffee while dining al fresco or indoors. Meander through the art galleries, too, or, just relax and enjoy a glass of wine.

Smooth jazz and specialty music — perfect for an afternoon of strolling — will cheer festival guests.  Bring the children for face painting, and, of course, dogs are welcome to hang out, too!

The December event is sponsored by Mid-Atlantic Waterproofing and Kitchen Savers.  First Sunday Arts Festival will continue on the first Sunday of each month May-October of 2015. Visit www.firstsundayarts.com for more information.
