Baysox holiday open house returns

christmastreeThe Bowie Baysox announce the return of the team’s annual Holiday Open House being held at Prince George’s Stadium Friday, Dec. 5 from 6-8 p.m. This free event will include crafts and games on the concourse, the team gift shop (Louie’s Locker Room) will be open and Santa Claus will make an appearance.

Fans attending the event will be able to order Baysox Holiday Ticket packs and get their free Kevin Gausman bobblehead gift. Several of the Baysox inflatable games and the cornhole boards will be set up on the concourse and free cookies and hot chocolate will be provided. Louie and Rocko will both make appearances during the event along with the Oriole Bird from 6-7 p.m. The night will also include make-your-own Christmas ornament and crafts tables along with Christmas carol performances. Parents can also skip the line at the mall and bring a camera to take a photo with Santa Claus for free during the open house.

Returning for the second year, there will also be a Pancake Dinner held in the Diamond View Restaurant during the open house. The Pancake Dinner will run from 6-8 p.m. and the menu will include pancakes, sausage patties, orange juice, hot chocolate and coffee. Everyone in attendance will also receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win great Baysox prizes.

Tickets for the Pancake Dinner are $10 for adults and $7 for children and proceeds from the event will be donated to the Capital Area Food Bank. Tickets for the Pancake Dinner must be ordered in advance at www.baysoxshop.com before noon Wednesday, Dec. 3 and space is limited. All fans in attendance during the free open house event are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the Capital Area Food Bank.
