Annapolis to host 1st Martin Luther King Parade

MLK-DayAnnapolis Mayor Michael Pantelides announces that the City of Annapolis and the Annapolis Drum and Bugle Corps will host the First Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade on Monday, January 19, 2015.

The parade starts at Amos Garrett Boulevard at noon and travels down West Street to Church Circle, goes around the circle to Main Street, down Main Street, and ends at City Dock.

Parade organizers have opened registration for participants.   They are looking for family oriented groups, military, faith based organizations, bands and floats.  Organizers request that all parade participants show respect and honor Dr. King.
