Free concert: Classical Indian music by World Artists Experiences

India photosA free concert of Indian classical music featuring four renowned musicians of the sitar, violin and percussion will be presented at 7 p.m. Oct. 14 in the Francis Scott Key Auditorium at St. John’s College in Annapolis.

They are sitarist Alif Laiia and violinist HN Bhaskar, who will combine traditional music from North and South India with accompaniment by the tabla, an Indian double head drum, and mridangam, a South Indian percussion instrument of ancient origin. The musicians are internationally reputed and established in the classical music of India. They will performing in Annapolis after a tour of India.

The program is arranged by World Artists Experiences in cooperation with St. John’s College.  The program is presented to the public free with donations appreciated.  WAE’s ongoing effort of bridging international understanding through cultural and citizen diplomacy.  For additional information, check the Web at www.worldartists.org or email [email protected].
