The public is cordially invited to attend the Inaugural Eastport Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 4th from Noon to 8pm (Rain or Shine) at the EDC, 525 State Street in Eastport.
The historic private club, established in 1929, will host a fun family and pet friendly local Oktoberfest Along with great food, music and of course plenty of beer there will be races for the young, not so young and a premier class for our local Bar/Restaurant workers. Additionally we will have a keg toss, stein-holding competition, best-dressed dog and an arts and crafts corner for the kids.
Outside Activities:
- Noon Gates open; Race & Keg Toss Registration
- 1:00 PM Opening Ceremony
- 1:00pm -2:00 PM Kids Orange Kool-Aid® Races –No registration Required
- 2:00pm “Best Dressed Dog” Judging
- Keg Toss Opens
- 3:00pm Adult Relay Races & Keg Toss
- 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Post-Race Celebration (Inside): A great selection of Live Music with Local Favorites
Refreshments will be available for purchase including a Great Selection of German Beers, German food, including Bratwursts & Sauerkraut, Freshly-Shucked Oysters on the Half Shell and much more. In addition, prizes will be awarded for “Best Dressed Dog.”
A portion of the proceeds of the 2014 Oktoberfest will benefit Saltwater Soldiers.
