County to provide high-dose flu vaccine to seniors

swine-fluThe Anne Arundel County Department of Health will host two seasonal flu vaccine clinics in October for County residents age 65 and older. These high-dose flu vaccine clinics are free, by appointment only, and supplies are limited. The high-dose flu vaccine is only manufactured for seniors.

The clinics will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the following locations:

  • Monday, October 6 – Glen Burnie Health Center, 416 A Street, S.W., Glen Burnie. Call 410-222-6633 to schedule an appointment.
  • Tuesday, October 7 – Parole Health Center, 1940 Drew Street, Annapolis. Call 410-222-7247 to schedule an appointment.

Although the immunizations are free, the Department appreciates donations to help pay the cost of administering the vaccines.
