Annapolis Council confirms City Manager, City Attorney

Annapolis Mayor Michael Pantelides announced that the Annapolis City Council voted unanimously to confirm both Thomas C. Andrews as City Manager and Michael G. Leahy as City Attorney at tonight’s Special City Council Meeting.

Mr. Andrews has more than 40 years of government management experience with demonstrated expertise in Strategic Planning, Operations Analysis, Intergovernmental Relations, Environmental Management and Fiscal Operations and Budgeting.   Mr. Leahy is a legal professional with significant experience as a senior executive, attorney, regulator and policy maker.  He brings experience in land use and environmental regulation, development finance and permitting, economic development, and venture funding to the position.

Both Mr. Andrews and Mr. Leahy will begin their their new positions tomorrow, September 30.  Mr. Andrews will receive an annual salary of $130,000 and Mr. Leahy will receive and annual salary of $128,475.
