World renowned accordion player Petar Maric will perform Wednesday, September 17 at 7 p.m. at Annapolis High School, 2700 Riva Road.
The concert is free and open to the public on a first come first serve basis.
The program will consist of folk and classical music. He will play both acoustical and electronic accordions.
A native of Belgrade in Serbia, Mr. Maric has won six international competitions for accordion players. He has been a student of the accordion since the age of five and has studied at music schools throughout Europe. He has performed throughout Europe, in Asia, and in Australia.
The concert is sponsored by World Artists Experiences, a non-profit organization which bridges international understanding through cultural and citizen diplomacy, in partnership with the Embassy of Serbia and in cooperation with Annapolis High School and the Bowie Center for the Performing Arts.
