Free outdoor concerts continue at Maryland Hall

Maryland HallEnjoy a free outdoor concert on the labyrinth featuring The Kings of Crownsville at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts on Thursday, July 10 at 6 pm.  Part of the Sachs Memorial Summer Concert Series, the performance takes place on Maryland Hall’s front lawn, so bring your lawn chair, blanket, and a picnic basket and settle in for a relaxing evening of music on the labyrinth.

The Kings of Crownsville play dynamic, accessible music to suit sophisticated tastes. They take great tunes, add a touch of New Orleans, a pinch of jazz, a hint of world-beat, and ground it all in solid alt-rock sensibility. The six-piece band writes their own music and take a fresh look at songs by everyone from Johnny Mercer to David Byrne.

The concert is free and no tickets are required.  In case of rain, the concert will be moved indoors. Wine, beer and food will be available for purchase.

The Sachs Memorial Summer Concert Series is underwritten in part by Deborah Love in memory of her parents Joe and Jackie Sachs. Joe Sachs was one of the founders of Maryland Hall.

The 2014 Sachs Memorial Summer Concert Series will conclude on Thursday, August 14 at 6 pm with jazz, swing and big band group, Night and Day.
