Baysox 2013IMG_9997Five times the Baysox got the leadoff man aboard but they could not bring that runner around as the Baysox were shutout for a second consecutive night in Harrisburg. Tonight the final score was 2-0.

Bowie has scored one run on 22 hits in the three game series in Harrisburg. The scoreless stretch has reached 21 innings. It is just the third shutout of the Baysox all year.

Starter Eduardo Rodriguez worked from ahead in the count throughout the night but had a tough time putting away Senators hitters leaving after 3 and 2/3rd innings with the bases loaded in a 2-0 game. Steven Hensley entered and got a big strikeout to keep Bowie within 2-0.

Hensley was dominant as he allowed only one hit in 3 and 1/3rd innings of scoreless relief. He gave way to Matt Bischoff who danced out of a jam with two strikeouts in his scoreless inning. Bowie’s pen has been the bright spot in a tough series. They have combined for 11 and 2/3rd scoreless innings.
