For the 18th year, Eastport throws a great block party

Eastport a Rockin’ came and went with a bang for the 18th year!  As always, the event did not disappoint. 26 bands. 3 stages. 1 day!

Musically, there was a great mix of bands–from fresh and new to the tried and true favorites of the Annapolis music scene.

The day was casual, as all things are in Eastport and it was a perfect cool, grey day to all come together as neighbors for what is more of a well run, gigantic block party than a true festival.

Plenty of food and drink vendors including Pit Boys, the Wine Bar on Wheels from Red Red Wine Bar, and Mother’s Peninsula Grille were all serving the nearly 3000 people in attendance.

While the gates opened at 11am, the day got off to a slow start because of the grey skies and the threat of rain, but by mid afternoon, the Eastportoricans had packed the streets and land surrounding the Annapolis Maritime Museum.

And of course, twitter was alive as well.

Did you miss it?  Well, save the date for next year. The 19th Annual Eastport a Rockin’ Festival will be Saturday, June 20th.  Same place, same time!  See you there!
