Arundel Lodge receives 3 year CARF accreditation

arundellodgeCARF International announced that Arundel Lodge has been accredited for a period of three years for all of its applicable programs and services. This is the first time Arundel Lodge has sought accreditation from CARF International.

This decision by CARF International represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows the organization’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process. It has demonstrated to a team of surveyors, during an on-site visit, its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality.

Comments from CARF surveyors about Arundel Lodge included, “[Arundel Lodge] embraces a recovery philosophy. Its commitment to recovery principles is evident in the many ways in which it encourages and supports the persons served to strive toward increased independence” and “The staff members are genuine, warm, and enthusiastic in their interactions with the persons served. It is readily apparent that the staff share in both the joy and pain of the persons served, and this allows the persons served to feel cared for and safe.”

Arundel Lodge is a nonprofit organization with offices at 2600 Solomons Island Rd in Edgewater, MD. It has been providing Behavioral Health Services in the Anne Arundel County area since 1975 and serves over 1000 individuals in the community.

CARF is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process that centers on enhancing the lives of the persons served. Founded in 1966 as the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, and now known as CARF International, the accrediting body establishes consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services. For more information about the accreditation process, please visit the CARF website at www.carf.org.
