| June 28, 2014, 04:12 PM | 0 Comments

bikeaccidentIn the span of about 30 minutes, 4 bicyclists were hit by vehicles in Anne Arundel County this afternoon in three separate accidents.

The most serious of the accidents sent a man and a woman to shock-trauma after being hit in the 1800 block of Ritchie Highway. This is near Boulter’s Way south of Arnold.  The pair were flown to the hospital buy a MSP helicopter and a Park Police helicopter which landed at the USNA Golf Course. This accident occurred around 230pm.

A few moments before that accident, a cyclist was struck in the 6200 block of Franklin Gibson Road in Deale. The condition of that cyclist is unknown.

And shortly after the Arnold accident (250pm), a fourth bicyclist was struck in Brooklyn Park at the intersection of Church Street and Wasena Avenue. The condition of this cyclist is unknown at this point.

More details will be available as they are released.
