Woman’s body found floating in waters of Harness Creek in Annapolis

Per preliminary investigation from the Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division, initial evidence recovered suggests that this was a suicide. Please note that the final cause and manner of death has yet to be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore. The name of the deceased is not being released

Anne Arundel County police are investigating a body that was discovered floating in the South River near Harness Creek  earlier this evening.

According to police, the body of an adult female was discovered by boaters in the water near the 3200 block of Harness Creek Road in Annapolis.  Detectives are on the scene and investigating. No further information is available at this point. Please stand by for updates as they become available.
