Science magic at AACC

ScienceNightF11balloonsBehold the Magic at AACC’s Spring Science Night

Prepare to see amazing feats before your very eyes. Is it magic? Not really. It’s science and Anne Arundel Community College science faculty members are staging Spring Science Night 2014 on April 23 to show young and old how much fun science can be.

The public can choose from two performances, 5:30-6:30 p.m. and 7-8 p.m., both in the Robert E. Kauffman Theater of the Pascal Center for Performing Arts on the Arnold campus, 101 College Parkway. Then, just downstairs in the Student Union dining hall, demonstrations and hands-on activities will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

  • What you can expect at this event:
  • Learn to make slime and oobleck.
  • Look at and touch a variety of animals.
  • See a magic fire extinguisher in action.
  • Watch amazing chemistry.
  • Learn to pull a tablecloth from under dishes, plus more wonders of science.

No reservations are required. For information, contact Jason Barbour, associate professor of physical science, at 410-777-1217 or [email protected] or visit the webpage .
