Living an area where the word “cancer” is heard much too often, Relay For Life Arnold/Annapolis is a fun-filled overnight event designed to celebrate survivorship and raise money for research and programs of your American Cancer Society. During the event, teams of people gather at Anne Arundel Community College and take turns walking or running laps. Each team tries to keep at least one team member on the track at all times.
A night you can hang out with your friends, family and loved ones, you will laugh you will cry, and you will be motivated by a “night of hope” watching over 1,000 people with a variety of ages, backgrounds, races and beliefs all come together for a common cause. It is truly a night to remember.
There’s always so much to do Balloon Artists, Face Painters, Magicians, Mascot Meet & Greets, Bands and much more. Something is going on every hour. Join in the fun with our themed laps such as Patriotic, Pajama, Sports Mania, Time Machine, Super Hero, and more. The fun keeps going and going. Midnight brings The Midnight Party- a huge party to kick off the morning hours.
The event starts 2:00pm Saturday May 17th 2014 with the Opening Ceremony starting at 5:30PM! (Bring chairs and blankets to the main stage area) Come early to get the best spots.
Event ends 6:00am Sunday May 18th
