Hospice of the Chesapeake announced today it has received a $1 million gift from Greenberg Gibbons Commercial and Reliable Contracting. This gift is an important first step towards funding a new 14-bed, Inpatient Care Center in Pasadena, which the nonprofit organization will begin constructing this year on its new 7-acre campus.
Long-time supporters of Hospice of the Chesapeake, Greenberg Gibbons is one of the Baltimore-Washington region’s premier developers of mixed-use, town center and retail properties and Reliable Contracting is Anne Arundel County’s largest site-work contractor. The companies partnered to develop Waugh Chapel Towne Centre, the new 1.2 million-square-foot, open-air lifestyle center in Gambrills.
The proposed new Inpatient Care Center will provide an alternative to hospitalization for patients, and their families, who are encountering complex medical needs that cannot be managed at home. Situated in a quiet, peaceful environment, patients and families find the comforts of home while simultaneously benefiting from a state-of-the-art hospice care center.
