R2Hop2 FestivalThe Fordham & Dominion Brewing Co. has begun the countdown to the R2Hop2 beer and music festival on April 26, 2014.

The event will be held from 12-7pm at the Brewery, located at 1284 McD Dr. in Dover and will feature the live music of four local bands: Community Center, Lower Case Blues, River, and Epstein’s Mother. This event will be held rain or shine and it appeals to a broad range of audiences.  Adults will be entertained by a keg toss, cornhole, and homebrew demonstration while children will be treated to rock wall climbing.  Throughout the day, there will be firkin tappings, a collaboration beer with Mispillion River Brewing, and wine from Harvest Ridge Winery.  Fordham Bier Dawgs, craft jerky, and oysters will be available, along with food stuffs from Lil Shuckers, Babci’s Potato Pancakes, Pigheaded BBQ, Hawg Nutz, Frankfurt Bakery and Deli, and Hot Stuff Paninis.

Anyone who purchases a ticket prior to April 1st will be entered to win the special R2Hop2 package put together by Mainstay Suites. It includes one-night’s stay at the hotel, tickets to R2Hop2, and passes to all of the other Good Libations Tour locations.  This package is currently available for $159.

A limited number of VIP tickets have been released. At $50, they include private tent area, preferred parking, T-shirt, food, and bottomless cup. Regular tickets are $20 in advance ($30 at the door) and include five beers and a special event glass. Tickets are available for designated drivers, while children under the age of 16 are free.  Tickets can be purchased at the brewery or online at fordhamanddominion.com

President and CEO of Fordham and Dominion, Jim Lutz, stated “We took a slightly different approach to R2Hop2 this year, choosing to focus on pulling in the small businesses that Kent County has to offer. Our goal with this festival is to bring the community together for one day for some great beer and great music.”

R2Hop2 is sponsored by Dover Rent-All Tents and Events and 93.5 The Beach. More information can be found at fordhamanddominion.com.
