Annapolis man arrested on child sex abuse charges

20140328-142853.jpgOn March 20, 2014 detectives from the Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division received information in reference to reports of a possible child sex abuse.

During the course of the investigation, evidence was obtained that Andrew Dickinson Grabau had sexually abused a child over a several month period in 2013. Grabau had been hired by the victim’s parents to babysit. Family members indicated to investigators that they left their child in the care of Grabau on numerous occasions between April 2013 and October 2013.

Based on the investigation charges were filed against Grabau. On March 27th, 2014 Andrew Dickinson Grabau, was arrested on a warrant. He was charged with Sex Abuse of a Minor, 3rd & 4th Degree Sex Offenses, and 2nd Degree Assault, stemming from the investigation that was initiated on March 20th, 2014. The offenses took place at the victims residence.

He was released on $25,000.00 bail.
