9th Annual All That Art fundraiser this Friday

Maryland Hall’s 9th annual All That Art auction fundraiser, is Friday, March 7 from 6-9 pm and will feature the work of 51 artists—from around the region and the country—in genres ranging from painting and sculpture to photography and mixed media.  Art ranges from works by nationally-known and collected artists such as Mindy Weisel (glass), Nancy Hammond (mixed media) and Kevin Fitzgerald (painting) to works by well-known local talents such as Rick Casali (sculpture), Don Dement (photography) and Joe Dickey (wood).

Over the past 8 years, All That Art, has sold more than 230 pieces of art generating more than $300,000 in revenue to support the participating artists and Maryland Hall.  In addition, more than 10 pieces of art purchased at the auctions have been generously donated to local charities, most notably, Hospice of the Chesapeake, to beautify their public spaces.

Wells Fargo is the premier sponsor of All That Art with Towne Transport, Annapolis Collection Gallery, MorganStanley/Smith Barney and Sheehy Lexus of Annapolis providing additional support.  Proceeds from the auction are split evenly between the artists and Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts to support its visual arts and outreach programs.

Tickets to the All That Art event on March 7 are $75 per person.   The evening begins at 6 pm in the galleries and includes heavy hors d’oeuvres, wine, champagne and entertainment by guitarist Paul Cullen. Guests will be able to view the work in the galleries and bid on approximately 30 pieces of art in the silent auction from 6-7:30 pm that evening. The live auction of the remaining works will take place downstairs in our elegantly-decorated community gathering space from 7:30-9 pm.

Maryland Hall is partnering with two other local charities on this event:  Hospice of the Chesapeake and Lighthouse Shelter.  Art buyers who want to support the artists and Maryland Hall but perhaps don’t have the space for art in their homes, can purchase artwork that evening and donate it to Hospice of the Chesapeake or Lighthouse Shelter. Both organizations will have representatives on hand to facilitate donations and would welcome artwork for their public spaces. Art donors may receive a tax deduction for up to the retail value of the work donated.
