Delegate Steve Schuh was honored last week by Maryland Business for Responsive Government with the coveted John Shaw Award for his exemplary four-year voting record.

“Growing the economy and getting government out of the way has always been my focus,” Schuh said. “Receiving this award from the top authority on how elected officials vote on matters that affect our business climate is a great honor.”

The award is named after a prominent Maryland merchant who was commissioned to make the American flag, with the unique eight-pointed stars, when Annapolis was the temporary U.S. Capitol.

Maryland Business for Responsive Government is a statewide, nonpartisan political research and education organization supported by corporations, trade associations, chambers of commerce, and individuals dedicated to building the political and economic climate needed to foster economic development and job creation in Maryland.

Now in his second term as a State Delegate, Steve Schuh is serving as Chairman of the Anne Arundel County Delegation. He understands how to run a business after spending his entire career in finance and building companies that employ local residents and contribute to the local economy. Schuh has a four-year cumulative score of 90 percent from Maryland Business for Responsive Government.
