“I am delighted to recognize two immensely talented people. The winning artists not only capture the beauty of the Chesapeake Bay, but use creative imagery and motifs to illustrate sailboat and powerboat themes,” said Paul Jacobs, President of the Annapolis Boat Shows.

Kaeli Smith, a young professional artist with her own design company and student at the University of Delaware, created the 2014 Annapolis Spring Sailboat Show poster. Her painting conveys a passion for color and her unique style depicts the beauty of Annapolis Harbor. Her multidimensional technique is reproduced in exquisite detail in a Giclee print. Ms. Smith exhibits her original watercolors at the Annapolis Collection Art Gallery and frequently donates artwork to support area charities. A booth at the Annapolis Spring Sailboat Show will display Ms. Smith’s artwork and clothing by Kaeli Smith Designs, an Annapolis-based fashion design company.  A stunning watercolor by 12-year-old Brenna Litynski was chosen to represent the 2014 Bay Bridge Boat Show. Ms. Litynski is one of the youngest members of the Annapolis Watercolor Club and enjoys creating art in all mediums, but watercolor, pastel, charcoal, and colored pencil are her favorites. She is homeschooled and reveals a great passion for art, animals, and marine life.  Ms. Litynski plans to donate proceeds from the auction of her artwork at the Bay Bridge Boat Show and the proceeds will go to the Veterans Artist Program.
