Fire Marshals Make Arrest In Glen Burnie Arson

arsonAround 11 a.m. yesterday, 911 calls were received reporting a vehicle fire located at Ed’s Towing in the 300 block of Marley Neck Road in Glen Burnie.  Upon arrival, firefighters found a late model Saturn well involved in fire. Firefighters were quickly able to extinguish the fire that caused approximately $ 3,000.00 in damage to a total of four vehicles.

Fire investigators were immediately called to the scene and, after conducting an origin and cause analysis, ruled the fire incendiary in nature.  As a result of the subsequent investigation and witness reports 29 year-old Steven Latz, an employee of the business, was arrested and charged with the following:

  • 2nd Degree Arson
  • Malicious Burning
  • Destruction of Property
  • Reckless Endangerment
