This Valentine’s Day Weekend, on Sunday, February 16, Annapolis Towne Centre will host its first annual “Shades of Red Fun Run & Crawl” – an un-timed run and bar crawl in celebration of Heart Health Awareness Month. The event is part of Anne Arundel Medical Centre’s Annapolis-wide “Paint the Towne Red” campaign, benefitting the hospital’s Dare to C.A.R.E. initiative, which promotes awareness of Heart and Vascular Disease while offering free screenings.
Participants can register for the fun run for free on the day of the event, and can partake in the bar crawl by purchasing up to four drink tickets for $1 each. Drinks will be provided by participating Annapolis Towne Centre restaurants, special coupons and discounts from retailers will also be offered at the registration table.
The schedule for the Shades of Red Fun Run & Crawl is as follows:
- Onsite Registration at Charm City Run: 4:30 p.m.
- Un-Timed Fun Run down Towne Centre Boulevard and back: 5:30 p.m.
- Bar Crawl to follow.
“Cardiovascular disease is the most deadly disease in the U.S. today, so raising awareness in our community is critical,” said Tom Fitzpatrick, President of Greenberg Gibbons. “We are excited to help the Dare to C.A.R.E program achieve this noble goal by hosting this fun event.”
