Annapolis Police Report: Armed Robbery Update, Thefts From Vehicles

Armed Robbery Update – 201400000568 – 1900 block of West St – 02/03 at 8:50pm: Two men entered the business displaying handguns. Both men were wearing masks and ordered the employees to get on the ground. The men took money and fled the business on foot. Both men are described as African American in their mid to late 20s. One is 5’9” to 6’0” tall, weighing 180 to 200 pounds. The other is 5’6” to 5’8” tall, weighing 150 to 170 pounds. Theft from Boat – 201400000561 – 7300 block of Edgewood Rd – 01/31 at 8am to 02/03 at 3pm: The entry hatch was forced open, but it is unknown if anything was taken from the boat.

Burglary – 201400000564 – 900 block of Royal St – 01/30 at 7pm to 02/03 at 5:20pm: A 46” Phillips flat screen TV, a 20” flat screen TV, jewelry, and a DVD player were taken from an apparently unlocked apartment.

Theft from Vehicle – 201400000581 – 600 block of Cutter Ct – 02/03 at 5pm to 02/04 at 2:30pm: The van’s door lock was forced open and a DeWalt 12” miter saw was taken.

Theft from Vehicle – 201400000582 – 1100 block of Madison St – 02/04 from 3pm to 3:10pm: A blue cloth purse was stolen from a vehicle while the owner was unloading groceries and left the vehicle unlocked.

Theft from Vehicle – 201400000590 – Unit block of Heritage Ct – 02/03 at 6pm to 02/04 at 8am: Keys to the vehicle owner’s other vehicles were stolen from the center console of an unlocked vehicle.

Neighborhood Watch Meeting — The next Neighborhood Watch meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 12, from 6:30pm to 8pm at Annapolis Police Headquarters, 199 Taylor Avenue. This meeting’s topic will be “Human Trafficking in Annapolis”. Retired Detective Jeffrey Hartlove will talk about a human trafficking case involving brothels being operated in Annapolis.
