3 Teenaged Armed Robbery Suspects Try To Escape Into Courthouse

On February 4, 2014, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Northern District officers responded to Glen Burnie District Court building located in the 7500 block of Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie for a report of a robbery.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with three juvenile victims and one witness, who stated that they were robbed at knife point by four male suspects in the area of Kuethe Road and Delaware Avenue in Glen Burnie. After the robbery, one of the victims went home and told his brother about the incident.  The brother canvassed the area and located the suspects near the Rite Aid across the street from Glen Burnie District Court building. The suspects fled from the brother and were chased into the court house, where court security detained them. The fourth suspect ran past the courthouse and escaped. The victims were brought to the scene and positively identified the suspects who robbed them. Property stolen from the victims was recovered.

At approximately 4:38 p.m., another call was received for a second robbery that occurred earlier. A fourth juvenile male victim advised that he was also robbed at knife point in the area of Kuethe Road and Delaware Avenue by suspects matching the description in the aforementioned robbery. The victim was transported to the Glen Burnie District Court building where he positively identified two of the suspects already in custody. The previous search also revealed property stolen from this victim.

At approximately 5:47 p.m., a fifth juvenile male victim reported a third robbery that occurred earlier. This victim indicated that he was robbed by four male suspects at knife point in the area of Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard and Amberly Road in Glen Burnie. The victim was transported to Northern District where he was shown photo line ups by District Detectives and positively identified all three suspects.

The suspects were taken to Eastern District where they were interviewed by Northern District detectives. They were further processed and charged as adults with armed robbery and related theft offenses. The investigation is still ongoing into the identity of the fourth suspect.
