Two Charged With Attempted Murder In Hanover

On January 13, 2014 at approximately 10:19 am, officers from the Western District responded to the 1400 block of Gesna Drive in Hanover, for multiple calls of shots being fired in the area.

A victim in the case was also following the suspect vehicle from the area.  The victim reported that while he and other family members were at their home on Gesna Drive, the suspects drove past his home and fired multiple shots into his home and several vehicles in the area while he was standing in his driveway.

A description of the vehicles involved was broadcast to officers in the area. The vehicles were located near the 7400 block of Windstream Circle in Hanover by an Anne Arundel County Sheriff’s Office Deputy.

Officers surrounded the area and two suspects were located and arrested in the wooded area near Arundel Mills Boulevard and Dorsey Road Extension.  No one was injured during this incident. Both weapons were also recovered during this incident.

Suspect #1:    Kingsley Anthony McLean, 20, of the 900 block of Autumn Valley Lane

                        Gambrills, Maryland 21054

Suspect #2:    Kendall Alonzo Govan, 24, of 2400 block of Cheyenne Drive

             Gambrills, Maryland 21054

Both suspects were charged with Attempted 1st and 2nd degree murder, 1st degree assault, handgun use in commission of a felony and other related charges.
